NOTI at ORGATEC Fair - photogallery
Between 25 and 29 October 2016, the top priority in NOTI’s agenda was the company’s participation in Orgatec, the key event in the industry offering office solutions and technologies which takes place in Cologne (Germany) every two years. It was a debut for the brand, since previously NOTI products shared the exhibition area with Balma, a fellow company specializing in office furniture. The debut proved to be a huge success, with NOTI gaining nearly 500 new trade partners both in Europe and beyond – in the Middle East, Africa, South America or Asia.
The 2016 edition of the Fair, called “New Vision of Work”, strengthened its leading status in the industry. With a total of 671 exhibitors, 130 thousand square metres of exhibition area and 56 thousand visitors from 118 countries, this year’s Orgatec enjoyed a record-breaking popularity. NOTI’s stand, designed by Piotr Kuchciński and Tomek Rygalik, attracted a number of architects and designers of office buildings and interiors as well as sales representatives and owners of furniture showrooms, decision-makers responsible for equipment and purchases, and corporate managers from a variety of departments who implement innovative holistic concepts in the workplace. The Fair was also an event contributing to the establishment of marketing and PR relations.
The strongest trends that were seen at the Fair included modularity, home office and acoustic products. NOTI tapped into these trends perfectly by unveiling its motto “Individual, Diverse, Modular”, and planning the premiere of its SoundRoom system. NOTI collections in vibrant warm red, standing out against traditional pale and cold office colours, are excellent solutions for furnishing office blocks and home offices. Exciting and highly esteemed designs by Poland’s best creators build a climate stimulating creative endeavours of individual teams in a pleasant and relaxed work setting. On the other hand, due to the meticulous approach to production and finishing, as well ergonomics, a chair, armchair or sofa are perfect for furnishing an apartment which is used for remote working. All NOTI products featured at the Fair can be used as “building blocks” in a system focused on holistic thinking and aiming to fulfill the needs of staff, taking into account the nature of their jobs, tasks, schedules and style of work.
During the five days of the Orgatec fair, visitors exploring NOTI’s stand had an opportunity to see, touch and try out an array of the latest products including chairs and armchairs from two extended collections by Piotr Kuchciński (Manta and Mishell) and Mamu armchairs designed by Tomek Rygalik. This year, the Mishell collection was expanded to include a extra chair and an armchair on wooden legs. New additions to the Manta range, on the other hand, included lounge and club armchairs, and chairs on wooden legs or skids. Mamu, a lightweight and compact-sized armchair, is a brand-new design. The 3D geometry of this structural ergonomic seating solution was achieved by using formed felt. To further enhance user comfort, the chair features an upholstered cushion and a soft upholstered cover which loosely envelops the felt surface. Other furniture item showcased at Orgatec included NOTI’s most recent projects, already available commercially, such as well-proportioned multi-purpose Linar Plus chairs and modular x40 pouffes.
The greatest interest, however, was generated by SoundRoom, a set of complementary acoustic solutions offering a possibility of spatial arrangement of contemporary offices. SoundRoom was launched in a new product category included in NOTI’s portfolio, which comprises system solutions. It was designed by Tomek Rygalik, the creator of Termo, Tulli and the new Mamu, in response to the development of mobile communications technologies, weaknesses of open-plan office systems and the shift towards turning office space into a comfortable meeting place. Rising noise levels in contemporary offices have a negative impact on the working climate by distracting people’s attention and interfering with the effective performance of their tasks, increasing stress and tension.
The project combines an innovative acoustic screen technology with sound-diffusing geometry. The holistic/comprehensive design consisting of a variety of mobile acoustic screens makes it possible to deliver an array of functionalities required for work, and create an architectural context for mobile and supplementary furniture. Acoustic furniture provides a host of functions. It enhances concentration capacity and working performance, and supports effective conceptual work in groups. Also, it has a beneficial effect on the ability to focus, exchange information and communicate effectively during brief informal meetings, and offers a getaway from the surrounding hustle and bustle, for example to make a phone call.
The highlight of the show, which attracted the largest crowds of visitors, was the “Sleeping Room” filled with tranquil music to improve well-being and create an oasis of calm on the noisy and crowded exhibition premises. Other elements of the collection included a conference room, a meeting room, an area for individual work, sofas, armchairs and “phone booths”.
